What type of crochet classes do you offer?
I offer a variety of crochet sessions including beginner basics, granny squares, amigurumi plushies, themed projects, sip and stitch events, and multi week series. Classes can be customized based on the audience, age group, and setting.
Who are these classes for?
These classes are designed for adults, teens, and children of varying skill levels. I have experience teaching adults as well as teens with learning differences, and I focus on making crochet approachable, accessible, and doable for everyone. Instruction is flexible and paced to meet participants where they are, creating a supportive and encouraging environment for all learners.
Do I have to bring materials?
I can bring the supplies for a additional fee, I can give you list for you to purchase for the library to keep on hand, or I can provide a list so participants know what to bring on their own.
What is the maximum class size?
Class size depends on the project and venue. Smaller groups allow for more one on one instruction, while larger groups may be better suited for simpler projects. I am happy to recommend a class size based on your space and goals.
Will I be able to finish a project?
The ability to finish a project will vary by individual. We begin the class together, and participants work at their own pace while I walk around providing instruction and hands-on assistance based on each person’s needs.
Some students are able to complete a granny square, or even more than one, during class. For plushie projects, I intentionally choose simple patterns so students can get as close to finished as possible.
Regardless of whether a project is fully completed, I make sure everyone leaves with the knowledge and confidence needed to finish on their own. I also demonstrate the next steps so students are not confused when continuing at home. Participants are always welcome to email or DM me after class with any follow-up questions.
What is your pricing like?
Pricing for group classes can vary depending on the type of event, class length, group size, and location. Because programming budgets and grant funding often change from season to season, I do not list group pricing publicly. I am always happy to work within reason to find an option that fits your budget while creating a positive experience for everyone involved. Please reach out to request a quote or start a conversation.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.
How do we book a class?
To book a class, please reach out through email with your preferred dates, group size, and type of event. I am flexible and easy to work with. Email: NerdyMomCraft@gmail.com
