I am definitely not a seasoned pattern writer but I am typing this willing to learn along the journey. I purchased my Addi knitting machines in 2020 and have fallen in love with all the ways I can use it! These cozies are one of the first items I made with my 22 pin and it was so simple. It seems great for a beginner.
What You’ll Need:
22 Pin knitting machine (or similar)
Worsted Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
Button (Optional)
Cast the yarn on to your knitting machine. Continue to crank until you reach 40 rows. Cast off your yarn. Cinch both ends and secure them with a knot or two using your tapestry needle. Once each end is tied, use the tails to tie the two ends together. Make sure the tube is flat without any twists.
At this point, you can add a button if you chose. I like it with and without one! It looks great either way. If the button holes are wide enough, you can use the yarn tail if they aren’t, just use a coordinating thread.
Go ahead and tuck the leftover tail inside the cozy in between the layers of the tube.
